Dear Sponsor:
Please allow me to introduce our Student of the Week, Gift Nyoni who is pursuing an Honours (Honors in the US) Degree in Accounting. I cannot begin to tell you how inspired I get when I read our Students’ Testimonials. What stands out the most is how at an early stage, they learned how to overcome the obstacles that came across their paths and remained undeterred despite the odds. It is a virtue that has caused them to get to where they are today. I salute them for such a level of resilience. It has been fascinating to watch them grow from young Adults to Adults. You can see the progression in their profile photos. This is so special to me and I assume to you as well Dear Sponsor. I have attached Zim’s Grade system for those of you who are not from Zim for your reference. I have been so encouraged in reading through Gift’s testimony. Every paragraph touched me in some capacity, but the following paragraph touched me in a special way: The time for secondary education came and the only school my mother and her sister could afford is Detema Secondary school in Dete. I attended there. The school is known for its constant trend of poor results, but I prayed and studied hard so that the history of the school did not affect my results and my own history. I started my Form One with a traveling gear and it was one of my life changing decisions. I continued at that school until Form 4 in 2013. I sat for 9 subjects and I got 6A’s and 3B’s setting a record for a so called bad school. Gift decided to make history by setting a record of obtaining the best results the school had ever experienced. Please allow me to introduce you to his Proud Sponsor, Nkululeko Mloyi who currently resides in South Africa (I call him Nku). We are so proud of Gift’s accomplishments and please join me in celebrating him this week. His testimonial is attached.

Dear Sponsor:
As each day goes by, I am constantly overwhelmed by your generosity. You have come through once again and our students are back in school. Every single one of them. Please allow me to thank Mr. Ian Dlamini and Mr. Joshua Mpofu who provide their assistance on the ground to ensure our students’ fees are paid, timely updates are made to and from the Universities and receipts are generated for your information. We could not do this without their support. The needs that we face are so overwhelming to say the least. There are more students on the side-lines who are asking for sponsorship and it makes it seem as though what we are doing is a drop in the bucket. Some students do manage to raise funding for the first, second, or third semesters, or even ultimately to their final year, and along the way, it becomes impossible for them to continue or to push through to graduation. I had to bite the bullet as I was confronted with such once again and had to take a leap of faith and added 3 more students who are already enrolled at NUST. Mr. Ncube the Career Guidance and Employment Officer at NUST provided details of the students and they are: FAITH SIBANDA NUST Medicine (Final Year) MARVELOUS NCUBE NUST Sports Science (Second Year) NOKUNENE DEMADEMA NUST Records and Archive Mgt (Second Year) Since my last communication, the following sponsors made contributions to our scholarship Fund: Mr. and Mrs. Gorte (Scott and Krystal) US Ms. Rosa Alvarez and John Adams US Mrs. Hlengiwe Sibanda (In memory of the Late Prof. Benson Sibanda) US Ms. Monique Bolden US Mr. Nkululeko Mloyi SA Ms. Nicole Beuchler US Mr. Frank Tripicchio US Dr. Precious Zikhali SA Mr. Ayanda Khumalo SA Ms. Thokozile Mkwanazi US Ms. Busi Bango Zim Mr. V.B. Sibanda Zim Mrs. Hlengiwe Sibanda (In memory of the Late Prof. Benson Sibanda) US Mr. and Mrs. Swift (Al and Sheila) US Mr. Peter Hill US Thank you, thank you, thank you for your sacrificial giving. Sometimes it is as though a simple Thank You is inadequate to express the level of my gratitude and that of our students. Please see attached updated Contribution Spreadsheet for your records. Our updated Student Database is also attached. As our Sponsor you can participate in various capacities such as: Dedicated Sponsor by selecting a student you can sponsor for the duration of their education Contributor to our Fund whenever you are able A Mentor to our Students A facilitator if you own a business or through some of your networks, for their Internship/Attachment or career guidance and employment leads after graduation A contributor on fundraising ideas or assistant in the day to day administrative functions of this Fund A prayer warrior for our students and sponsors. For guidance on how to grow the Fund so we can meet the overwhelming needs faced by many students in Zimbabwe. Every single person in my distribution can select to play one or more of the roles listed. We desperately need support in every capacity. All these efforts will go a long way in assisting our students as we develop our future generation. thoko mkwanazi
